Granting permissions to manage teams

Required Tempo product: Tempo Timesheets for Cloud or Tempo Planner for Cloud

Required permission: Tempo Team Administrators

Team Lead permission

This permission is given to individual users. With it users are granted all Teams permissions by default:

Worklogs Permissions

  • View team worklogs
  • Manage team worklogs
  • Approve timesheets

Team Permissions

  • Manage team permissions
  • View team permissions

Additionally, if Tempo Planner is installed, the team lead can:

  • View team plans
  • Manage team plans
  • Approve plans

To grant the Team Lead permission:

Select Tempo > Teams or click the Teams_Icon.pngicon on the Tempo sidebar to the left.

  1. In the Teams screen, under Lead, add a user you want to grant the permission to for a given team.

Required Tempo product: Tempo Timesheets for Cloud or Tempo Planner for Cloud

Required permission: JIRA Administrators

Program Manager permission

A program is a group of teams that are associated with the same JIRA project or the same JIRA Agile board. This permission is given to individual users. With it users get by default:

  • A high-level overview of a team's capacity and progress in a program.
  • The ability to plan epics and product releases for the teams.

To create a program or to plan iterations for teams from the program level, Tempo Team Administrators permission is required.

To grant the Program Manager permission:

  1. Select Tempo > Teams or click the Teams_Icon.png icon on the Tempo sidebar to the left.
  2. In the Teams screen, click Programs at the upper-right.
  3. Under Manager add users you want to grant the permission to.
