Creating plans of different types

Required Tempo product: Tempo Planner for Cloud

Required permission: Tempo Team Administrators or Team Leads

You can use Tempo Planner to block out time for a number of different types of commitments - Issues, Projects, Versions, Components, and Sprints. After you block out time in the Calendar, you can select the type of plan to create by using the Plan item type drop-down.

Planning on Issues

Planning on issues allows you to block in time to work on a specific issue. Any time you plan on an issue will also appear in the Plans section in the issue view.

Planning on Projects

Planning on projects allows you to block in time for an entire team to work on a project. Time planned on projects for teams will also be visible in the Program > Timeline view.

Planning on Versions

Planning on versions allows you to block in time on a specific version within a project for a team or an individual. To be able to plan on a version you must first select a project, and then select a version within that project to plan time on.

Planning on Components

Planning on components allows you to block in time on a specific component within a project for a team or an individual. To be able to plan on a component you must first select a project, and then select a component within that project to plan time on.

Planning on Sprints

Planning on sprints allows you to block in time on a Jira sprint. To be able to plan on a sprint you must link the team to both the project containing the sprint and the Jira board.
