JIRA and Tempo each have their own system to track time that is spent working on issues.
If you are a Tempo Timesheets owner, you must select Tempo Timesheets as your time tracking provider to be able to log work in timesheets.
Selecting Tempo Timesheets as your time tracking provider also means:
- You can log work in Tempo Timesheets.
- You can see the My Work and Reports tabs.
- Tempo worklogs are displayed in the history tab.
- You can use Tempo Timesheets gadgets in a JIRA dashboard.
If you have selected Tempo Timesheets as your time tracking provider, this means that certain JIRA functions based on JIRA time tracking might not be available. For example, you will not be able query JIRA REST APIs for worklogs.
