Tempo Timesheets

New Features 

  • An approver who is logging, editing, or deleting a worklog for a member will now need the Approve Timesheets permission if the period has been closed for that member.
  • Reports are now sorted alphabetically by Project Key, Issue Key, Account Key, or User Key, depending on the grouping level selected. Worklogs are sorted by Work date and use the Last updated field as a tie-breaker between similar dates. For more information about reports, please review the article Using the reports feature.

Improvements 

  • Total Billable, Planned and Worked hours are have been added to Reports.
  • Tempo now remembers the user's last choice of Timesheet or Calendar view.
  • Team members are now sorted on the Timesheets Approval page by approval status (Waiting for Approval, Open, Approved) and then alphabetically by team member name.
  • Total Required and Total Worked is now displayed in the Team Timesheet and My work views.

Fixes

  • Fixed the Remaining Estimate field not populating or updating.
  • Fixed when in Log Work, the Submit button goes off screen when screen resolution 1024x768 is used.
  • Fixed when certain users appear invalid in the My Work view.
  • Fixed certain gadgets displaying a weird behaviour when displaying large amounts of data.

Tempo Timesheets

New Features 

  • If a team member needs more time to complete a timesheet, you can add now a grace period to any timesheet that is open or is waiting for approval. The team member can then add Worklogs from the time the grace period is granted, for the number of hours specified. For more information, please review the article Reviewing and approving team timesheets.
  • Users can group worklogs by Account when creating reports. Review article Using the reports feature for more information. 
  • Searching for issues when logging work has been improved to locate the correct issues to log on more easily. Users can either search all issues or use 'Recently viewed Issues', 'Assigned to me' or 'Internal issues' filters to narrow the search.

Improvements 

  • Excel export for worklog servlet.
  • Option to hide Assigned Issues from User Agenda. 

Fixes

  • Fixed unable to move worklogs with a required Work Attribute.
  • Fixed when User Timesheet gadget did not use week start setting configured in Tempo.
  • Fixed when Export button was not visible from User report.
  • Fixed scheduler close for users with Approve Timesheets permission. 
  • Fixed adding a category to the account and fetching the servlet data causes an error.

Tempo Timesheets

Improvements 

  • Users can now group by fix version and component when configuring reports.
  • The PDF Export for Tempo reports now support grouping by Fix version, Component and, when available in the report, Account.
  • Issue is now pre-selected in Log Work form when ‘w’ is used in the issue view or when a task is selected on the JIRA board. Note that due to restrictions in JIRA for the shortcut implementation, the task has to be selected (not just highlighted) for this to happen, i.e. sidebar has to be open. Another restriction is that we cannot pre-populate this issue in JIRA Issue search.

Fixes

  • Fixed Servlet is not returning work attributes.
  • Fixed can’t connect to HipChat.
  • Fixed Custom Report issue filter, when selected issues not appearing in the Selected section.
  • Fixed e-mail notifications are sent to customer users on instances.

New Features 

  • When a default Account is configured for a project it is preselected in the Account custom field when a new issue is created.
  • As an administrator, I can schedule automatic period closures and e-mail notifications.
  • When selecting Reports from the Tempo sidebar or the Tempo menu on the JIRA menu bar, users are presented with a Report overview page with quick access to six predefined report templates, in addition to the custom report. In this release, we introduce User report, Project Report, Team Report, Issue Report, Account Report and Advanced Report. We chose sensible default values for this first version of the Reports overview page, which will be further enhanced in future releases.

Improvements 

  • Time tracking panel in issue view is updated when worklog duration on issue is changed.
  • Time-tracking panel in the Issue view has an option to include sub-tasks. It is only visible on issues that have sub-tasks.

  • Emails are sent on Timesheet Approval actions, when timesheet is submitted for review, approved or rejected.
  • Users can import Tempo Accounts from CSV with mapping columns with attributes.
  • Weekly approvals. Team timesheets can be approved on a weekly basis.
  • Users with Approve Timesheet permission should be able to log work for himself if the period is open for approver.
  • Change start day of the week. Sunday or Monday can be chosen as start day of the week. 
  • As a user I can add a column to the reports: Planned hours.

Improvements

  • Account Work Attribute and Account CF columns combined into one report column for simplicity. Account Work attribute can be edited in the report list view.

  • Fixed SQL exception, duplicate key when submitting timesheet after migration.

  • Creating plans from the issue view is now possible.
  • Export improvements - format of fields corrected, missing fields from P2 added and order preserved. The External hours have been deprecated, but the column is included but left empty so that we don’t break integrations.
  • Accounts can now be added to project via the accounts project settings.

Fixes

  • Fixed period is being automatically closed at the end of the month.
  • Fixed exporting .xls format of the hours column are not being read as numbers
  • Fixed issues missing from Reports when filtering by JIRA JQL filter.

New Features

   Tempo Timesheets   

  • It's possible to configure globally how far into the future it's possible to register worklogs. The default setting is 90 days. Other options range from 0-360 days. If 0 is selected it means that the user cannot log work for tomorrow.

Improvements

  • Tempo administrators can now make the remaining estimate field as optional. The setting is configured globally for the instance. As default, the remaining estimate is required. The remaining estimate cannot be a negative number, but if it has reached 0, the user can add a new one.
  • Tempo administrator can now configure if the worklog description is optional. The setting is global for the instance. By default the worklog description is required. When worklog description is optional and the description field is left empty the worklog is saved with the description 'Working on issue $key'. If the user writes a description the default description is not saved.
  • Tempo administrators can now configure the how many hours a user can log work on issue per day.
  • Maximum length of worklogs has been removed such that there's no limit to worklog lenght, except for the database limit (~14 digits).

   Tempo Timesheets   

  • Tempo administration pages are now accessible through the Tempo sidebar. Tempo administration is now displayed within Tempo and have been removed from the JIRA administration.
  • Only users with Tempo administrators permission can perform administrative tasks in Tempo. Previously JIRA admins were able to perform some of the tasks, but that ability has been moved completely to the Tempo administrators permission. On install, JIRA administrators must grant themselves this permission.
  • Users with Tempo administrators permission can access the Tempo administration pages through the Tempo top menu.
  • Tempo administrators can now configure the how many hours a user can log work on issue per day.
  • Global settings for worklogs are now accessible under Tempo administration > Configuration section > Logging work.

Improvements

  • Users can now create trackers in the JIRA Boards sidebar.
  • To create new trackers users click the '+' icon at the top of the tracker section. This applies to all places where users can create trackers, i.e. JIRA Boards sidebar, JIRA Issue view and Tempo Trackers gadget
  • To log work through the JIRA Boards sidebar users can click the '+' icon of the worklogs section, or through 'Log work' in issue actions at the top of the sidebar.

Fixes

  • A bug related to users with changed usernames not being able to access 'My work' and other time tracking capabilities
